Whumpfing sounds and the formation of shooting cracks when stepping on the snowpack can indicate the danger. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.</avActivityComment>
          <snowpackStructureComment> The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations. The fresh wind slabs are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack. They are lying on soft layers. Caution is to be exercised in particular on extremely steep shady slopes between approximately 2200 and 2600 m at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. Especially in the Central Stubai Alps avalanche prone locations are more widespread and the danger is greater. Moderate danger of gliding avalanches will persist. This applies on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2400 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.</avActivityComment>
