          <avActivityHighlights> Wind slabs require caution.</avActivityHighlights>
<avActivityComment> The clearly visible wind slabs of the last few days are to be avoided in particular in extreme terrain. Mostly they are only small but can be released in isolated cases by a single winter sport participant. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions avalanche prone locations are a little more prevalent. Adjacent to ridgelines avalanches can be triggered in deep layers of the snowpack and reach medium size in some cases. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.</avActivityComment>
<snowpackStructureComment> The fresh snow and wind slabs are lying on the unfavourable surface of an old snowpack in particular on shady slopes. Faceted weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular here. The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations.</snowpackStructureComment>
