<avalancheActivityHighlights>Fresh and older wind slabs require caution. Natural avalanches as the day progresses.</avalancheActivityHighlights>
<avalancheActivityComment>As a consequence of new snow and a sometimes storm force northerly wind, sometimes avalanche prone wind slabs formed in particular in gullies and bowls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. These can be released even by a single winter sport participant, in particular adjacent to ridgelines in all aspects above the tree line. Caution is to be exercised in particular in areas where the snow cover is rather shallow. In very isolated cases avalanches are large. The number and size of avalanche prone locations will increase with altitude. The avalanche prone locations are sometimes covered with new snow and are difficult to recognise. Backcountry touring calls for experience in the assessment of avalanche danger. <br/> More frequent gliding avalanches are to be expected, especially on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2400 m. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided. As a consequence of solar radiation numerous loose snow avalanches are to be expected, especially on rocky sunny slopes. As a consequence of solar radiation individual slab avalanches are possible as the day progresses, in particular medium-sized ones. This applies on near-ridge sunny slopes.</avalancheActivityComment>
<snowpackStructureComment>The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs are lying on soft layers in all aspects above the tree line. The wind slabs are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack, in particular on shady slopes. Field observations and released avalanches confirm this situation. The wind slabs are lying on a crust in particular on steep sunny slopes. <br/> The snowpack will be subject to considerable local variations at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. Snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. In gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain a lot of snow is lying. <br/> The old snowpack will be stable over a wide area.</snowpackStructureComment>
<tendencyComment>The avalanche danger will decrease gradually. Gliding snow requires caution.</tendencyComment>

<avalancheActivityHighlights>The fresh wind slabs represent the main danger.</avalancheActivityHighlights>
<avalancheActivityComment>The sometimes avalanche-prone wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular on northwest to north to northeast facing aspects, caution is to be exercised in particular above approximately 2200 m, as well as adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. In isolated cases avalanches are medium-sized. At elevated altitudes the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent and larger. The avalanche prone locations are clearly recognisable to the trained eye. <br/> In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.</avalancheActivityComment>
<snowpackStructureComment>The sometimes storm force wind has transported the fresh and old snow. The wind slabs are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack, especially on steep, little used shady slopes.
<tendencyComment>Wind slabs require caution.</tendencyComment>

<avalancheActivityHighlights>Wind slabs represent the main danger.</avalancheActivityHighlights>
<avalancheActivityComment>The sometimes avalanche-prone wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads, in particular on west to north to east facing aspects, caution is to be exercised in particular on steep shady slopes, and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Mostly avalanches are small. The avalanche prone locations are clearly recognisable to the trained eye. <br/> In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.</avalancheActivityComment>
<snowpackStructureComment>The old snowpack will be stable over a wide area. The mostly small wind slabs of the last few days are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack, especially on near-ridge shady slopes. <br/> Snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. On sunny slopes and below the tree line thus far only a little snow is lying.</snowpackStructureComment>
<tendencyComment>The avalanche danger will persist. Wind slabs are to be evaluated with care and prudence.</tendencyComment>
