<avalancheActivity>
      <highlights>New snow, wind slabs and old snow represent the main danger. Snow sport activities outside marked and open pistes call for very extensive experience in the assessment of avalanche danger and careful route selection.</highlights>
      <comment>As a consequence of the new snow natural avalanches are possible, even large ones in isolated cases, especially on steep slopes. In steep gullies in the regions with a lot of snow the avalanches can reach intermediate altitudes. Even single backcountry tourers can release avalanches easily. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in steep terrain above the tree line. Caution is to be exercised in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls, as well as at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain in particular at high altitude. The avalanche prone locations are prevalent and are barely recognisable, even to the trained eye.
Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for great caution and restraint. Below approximately 2600 m small and medium-sized gliding avalanches and snow slides are possible. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided.</comment>

      <comment>Over a wide area over a wide area 15 to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, fell on Friday above approximately 1700 m. The fresh snow as well as the often deep wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases in all aspects above approximately 2000 m. The snowpack will be moist below approximately 2400 m. Below approximately 1300 m hardly any snow is lying.</comment>

      <highlights>Increase in danger of wet and gliding avalanches. Fresh wind slabs at high altitude.</highlights>
      <comment>More frequent wet loose snow avalanches are to be expected, even medium-sized ones. In addition an appreciable danger of gliding avalanches exists, in particular on steep sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m, as well as on steep shady slopes below approximately 2400 m.

The wind slabs of the last few days can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2400 m. This applies especially adjacent to ridgelines. In some cases avalanches are medium-sized. The number and size of avalanche prone locations will increase with altitude.

Avalanches can in very isolated cases be triggered in the old snowpack and reach large size in isolated cases in particular on very steep west, north and east facing slopes. Such avalanche prone locations are to be found above approximately 2400 m.</comment>

    <snowpackStructure>
      <comment>In some regions up to 10 cm of snow fell on Friday. Some snow will fall on Saturday in some regions.
The snowpack will be moist below approximately 2400 m. The surface of the snowpack will soften during the day.

Fresh and somewhat older wind slabs are lying on soft layers in particular on shady slopes. This applies at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions. In isolated cases new snow and wind slabs are lying on a weakly bonded old snowpack, in particular on steep west, north and east facing slopes above approximately 2400 m.</comment>
