The prevalence of avalanche prone locations and likelihood of triggering will increase with altitude. <br/> Medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large natural avalanches are possible especially in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation. This applies in particular on very steep shady slopes adjacent to ridgelines at elevated altitudes. <br/> <br/> More frequent loose snow avalanches are to be expected, even medium-sized ones, in the event of prolonged bright spells especially. <br/> <br/> In addition a latent danger of gliding avalanches exists. This applies on steep grassy slopes below approximately 2600 m. Mostly avalanches are medium-sized. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided. <br/> <br/> Backcountry touring calls for experience and a certain restraint."
