Avalanches can in some places be released, even by a single winter sport participant. The avalanche prone locations are to be found on very steep shady slopes below approximately 2600 m and on very steep sunny slopes in all altitude zones. Especially in starting zones where no previous releases have taken place individual small and medium-sized natural avalanches are possible. <br/> <br/> Gliding avalanches can also occur at any time. Such avalanche prone locations for gliding avalanches are to be found in particular on very steep grassy slopes. Areas with glide cracks are to be avoided as far as possible. <br/> <br/> Wherever the outgoing longwave radiation during the night is reduced the danger will increase more quickly. Backcountry tours should be started very early and concluded timely."
