In the event of prolonged bright spells this applies in particular on extremely steep sunny slopes. <br/> <br/> The fresh and somewhat older wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2800 m. Such avalanche prone locations are to be found in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. In particular in high Alpine regions the avalanche prone locations are more widespread and the danger is greater."
